Originally from Reading, England, Teige began his training taking certificate grade exams for the Royal Academy of Dance. He later trained at The Arts Educational Schools, London, and joined the ArtsEd youth dance company as well as set his own work on the company. In 2017 he moved to New York and attended The Ailey school as a Scholarship student. In his time there he worked with choreographers such as Ray Mercer, Troy Powell, Bradley Shelver and Brice Moussette. He also appeared in Alvin Ailey’s Memoria during Ailey’s 60th Anniversary season at New York City Center. In his last year at the school, he apprenticed with Ailey II. Other productions include NYC United against Cancer, Artists Unite 2020, and In Our America: A Concert for the Soul of our Nation.
